If you have already booked hotel accommodation in Meath for December and are looking for some activities to add to your itinerary, why not look at Navan on Ice? One of the largest real ice rinks in Ireland, you can truly expect skating fun for the entire family. Skating sessions last around 50 minutes and due to the popularity of this event, it is advised that you make your bookings as early as possible. In 2011/2012, the event will run from 15 of November until 9 January.
During this time, there will be a number of events taking place at the ice rink. Skate Camp is a six-week course for beginners and is perfect for anyone aged six and older. You can look forward to individual and group instruction and only a limited number of places are available. You will need to be able to arrive every Saturday morning from 27 November.
If you have children, then Santa Grotto at Navan on Ice is the perfect event for you. This will take place on Friday, 3 December, when Santa Claus himself will arrive. Make sure that your children have their letters ready and all kids will receive a small gift from man himself.
If one of your children are celebrating their birthday during this time, then you will be glad to know that parties can be hosted at Navan on Ice. You will be eligible for special prices and food packages (based on 10 people or more). Contact the organisers for more information on birthday parties.
